Ravenclaws are the thinkers and intellectuals at Hogwarts. Never without a book, they could easily be the nerds. However, they are probably also the most interesting Hogwarts house. All that free-flowing knowledge means deeply stimulating conversations about a wide range of subjects. Something I’m sure you know a thing or two about.
While Ravenclaws pride themselves on their wit, that’s not the only thing they are known for. These are some traits I’m sure you have if you have been sorted into the Ravenclaw House.
You’re a critical thinker.
You are a classic “think before you speak” person. It’s quite easy for you to see situations from every angle. Actually, you prefer it before making a decision, which is never made hastily.
Being the critical thinker, people often tend to go to you to help solve difficult problems. You always know a solution, even if it takes time gathering the facts beforehand.
If you've been sorted into the Ravenclaw House, you may be wondering what it means about you. Well, this is what it really means. Click To TweetYou can find a book in every room.
Literally, every room. The bathroom. The laundry room. Bedroom. Living room. Why are they in the coat closet? Well, because there’s so damn many of them.
Will you ever part with a book? Probably not. Most likely only in the case where a loving person is attempting to pry it out of your hands to put in the donation pile while chastising you with something like, “You went on for 2 weeks about how much you hated this book.”
You can’t imagine life without books. Bookshops are your happy place, especially indie bookshops. You can often be found up at three in the morning still whispering “one more chapter”.
You notice random details.
In fact, you’re so good at it that you probably scare some people into thinking you’re a stalker. Nothing of the sort: just extremely observant.
However, this trait means that you’re also extremely thoughtful, particularly when it comes to holidays and birthdays, because you pay attention to people’s likes and dislikes.
You’re quick to keep in the loop when it comes to news events, but nothing shocks you as most things are predictable when you’re paying attention.
And, at any given moment, you’re eavesdropping on coffee shop conversations for that book you’re planning on (or currently) writing.
You believe anything is possible with the right education.
You don’t pander to the word “impossible”. Everything can be learned. Any skill can be taught. Your brain is an infinite space. The day you stop learning is the day you stop breathing.
If you’re not in school or intentionally learning something, you can be found scouring the Internet for new skills, languages, or subjects you can take under your wing.
You read textbooks just for fun and are constantly poking around the library for new and exciting topics.
Feeling stuck in a life situation? Suddenly, your Google search is riddled with it. You know the answers are out there just waiting to be found.
You research everything.
Not 100% sure of the answer? Google it is. You don’t want to move forward unless you know for a fact that it is the best move you can make.
You’re always hunting down the best deals and sales. It’s unusual for you to buy things on a whim before you can find out if it’s the best deal for the best product out there.
However, most things you “research” are your day-to-day experiences: how best to support a friend, how to read more than one book at a time, who really discovered America, the last case of the bubonic plague. You know, important things.
