Spring Must Haves | THE COZIE

Spring is around the corner! Literally here in southern Arizona. It was in the 40s last week and this week is supposed to be in the mid- to high 80s. Spring is more like a day, not a season! Regardless, it’s coming time to pack up the coats and winter gear and transition into a lighter and airier wardrobe. Here are a couple of my season must haves!

espadrilles

I got these Tory Burch espadrilles last year and I’ve loved them! In fact, they can use a good cleaning because I’ve loved them so much. The thing I truly love about this style is the Spanish air to it and how I can throw them with any outfit and make it ten times more stylish!

eyelets

I’ve always been a sucker for eyelets. They’re too pretty! I think they look best in cream, white, and blush tones, but I’ve seen some people wear them in darker colors and look great as well!

off the shoulder

I was a little nervous about this trend, especially because I’m a bustier gal. But, I couldn’t resist getting into it. As long as you have a good bra by your side, you can wear this all day long! I love how feminine these are!

light sweater

Did anyone else just think of the line from Miss Congeniality? Where she answers the perfect date question with “April 25th. Because it’s not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket”. Ha! Anyway, she has a point. Spring is notorious for cooler mornings and nights. I almost always have a light sweater or cardigan on me.

Another thing I’ve loved seeing pop up this season are basket bags! Wicker is one of those touch-and-go things for me: love it when it’s done right and hate it when it’s done wrong. And I definitely think these bags are doing it right!

lightweight makeup

I’ve been crazy about this NYX foundation. Honestly, I was a little surprised that I would like it so much because NYX is not a company I automatically think of when I think “great foundations”. It’s lightweight and the coverage is minimal (so be warned). I mix it with a bit of my moisturizer and it leaves me looking dewy and glowing all day!
