Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you! This year, Josh and I are celebrating Christmas in our home in Tucson with our two puppies. And by “puppies”, I mean fully grown dogs that are quite large!
We’re planning on having a quiet Christmas. We have a mini ham that I’ll serve with some roasted carrots and potatoes since it’s just the two of us. Then, we’ll probably pop some popcorn and veg out on Christmas movies!
No gifts this year! It’s actually a huge relief and quite refreshing not to be doing gifts this year. It’s really helped us focus on being grateful for what we have and, more importantly, who we have in our lives. So, we’re completely looking forward to our low-key Christmas!
One of our holiday traditions is to make this amazing Venetian hot chocolate. It’s very decadent. Usually, Josh has to finish my mug because this hot chocolate is the richest and creamiest hot chocolate I’ve ever had. It’s a simple recipe to whip up! I think it typically takes me 10 minutes to make.
This recipe only makes 2 servings. Most of the time, I’ll split it evenly between two mugs and then fill any space in the mug with some extra milk and stir. So, if you are making for more than 2 people or want your mugs filled to the brim, double this recipe!
