- For a personal preference, I wish I used a tubular cast-on for the 2×2 ribbing on the sleeves along with a needle size down for the ribbing. It would’ve come out neater and less ragged-y.
- I would also use a different method for adding the sleeves for the cardigan. The pattern calls for you to partially knit the sleeves alone and then knit them with the cardigan instead of sewing them on. For this reason, the shoulder seam looks a little funky.
Would you recommend this pattern? Absolutely! It would also look beautiful in different colors because it’s so versatile.
How long did this take you? This took me about a month. Within that month, Josh and I were moving along with handling other projects. So this most likely could’ve taken less time.
What skill level is required? I would say beginner to intermediate. If you’ve never done cables before, this probably isn’t the place to start.
Any other notes? If you decide to go with this pattern, consider the two things I’d change! Otherwise, this pattern is a great addition for any and all cable-lovers, especially if you love Aran sweaters!
