The holiday season is full of all my favorite festivities! Decorating with loved ones, baking gingerbread, exploring light festivals. I love the magic of the Christmas season. Sadly, I don’t have an opportunity to celebrate with every person I want to.
One tradition my family had growing up was to give treats to out-of-state and far away loved ones. Sweets are always a welcomed favorite in many households!
Here are some of my favorites:
- Chocolate-covered strawberries. These have probably become my favorite dessert! The holidays are full of lots of rich foods. Strawberries offer a nice alternative while still being sweet! Plus, it’s sometimes nice to take a break from all the cakes and cookies (but not for too long!).
- Cheesecake bites. My birthday dinner when I was a girl was usually at an Italian restaurant. At the end of dinner, they’d bring out a slice of a cheeesecake to celebrate! So, I definitely enjoyed these, especially because it’s my birthday month!
- Festive brownie pops. At first, I thought they were cake pops. But, I quickly discovered that they were brownie instead! I think I maybe got a couple bites before Josh devoured the rest! I also loved the fact that you get more than one in a package.
Of course, these aren’t the only ideas! There are lots of things you can send, including a gingerbread house! Some other great gifts for your loved one afar: this chocolate dipped marshmallows + hot chocolate collection, these festive sugar cookies, and (for the friend that prefers the salty and sweet combo) this holiday popcorn that comes in cute candy cane tins.
