One of my favorite ways to start my morning is with a smoothie! I think it’s such a great way to kickstart your day, get in a bunch of fruit and veg, and get your body up and going. Plus, when I’m in a rush, it’s so easy to just grab a bunch of fruit and veg, throw it into a blender, and then have a drink on the go!
Our fruit bowl is constantly overflowing with so much colorful goodness! We tend to grab whatever looks good at the store on our weekly Sunday trips. I’ve done a smoothie recipe before (read it here) that is my go to for something sweet and green. However, I wanted to share some extra recipes that I also love!
Pineapple Sunrise Smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 slices of pineapple
- 1/2 mango (sliced)
- 1 banana
- 1/2 peach (sliced)
- 1/2 c. almond or coconut milk (or water)
Blend until smooth. Add ice for a thicker consistency, if desired.
Pink Lady Smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 strawberries
- 1 handful of raspberries
- 1 banana
- juice of 1 grapefruit
Blend until smooth. Add ice for a thicker consistency, if desired.
Powerberry Smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 handful of blueberries
- 1 packet of acai puree (I get mine from Trader Joe’s, you can also use a serving size of powder like this one)
- 1 handful of spinach or kale
- 1 banana
- 1/2 c. almond or coconut milk (or water)
Blend until smooth. Add ice for a thicker consistency, if desired.
BONUS TIP: Add an avocado to turn any of these into a smoothie bowl! I usually top my bowls with muesli, goji berries, dried dates, blueberries, sliced banana, sliced strawberry, chia seeds, pomegranate seeds and/or pumpkin seeds!

Is it wrong that I keep thinking that Pineapple Sunrise would be great with a couple of fingers of white rum in it? At least you’d still be getting your vitamins while you have an adult beverage!

All these smoothies look delicious! I just have to fight my laziness and starting making one in the morning. We are already facing the hot season in Qatar so this fresh smoothy would be perfect!
